ABBIE CORNISH is following her brilliant performance in JANE CAMPION’S BRIGHT STAR with something a little different. She’s signed on the dotted line to join CARLA GUGINO, VANESSA HUDGENS and JENNA MALONE in director ZACK SNYDER’S SUCKERPUNCH. Set in the 1960s, it’s the story of a young girl held in an institution and lobotomized by her evil stepfather. She retreats to an imaginary world where she conspires with some other girls to escape. The official tag-line is: ALICE IN WONDERLAND…WITH MACHINE GUNS. We spoke with CORNISH recently about the film and she talked a bit about what we can expect. Listen in below:
