Nicole Kidman was one of the first actresses to star in a movie musical before it became fashionable – and successful again – with the film Moulin Rouge!.

 Since then directors like Rob Marshall (Chicago), Adam Shankman (Hairspray) and Bill Condon (DreamGirls) have packed houses and even gotten Oscar awards and nominations for their forward vision.

 So, it didn’t take much to get the actress to work with Rob Marshall on his latest music Nine. As a matter of fact, all he had to do was ask – along with a bit of schmoozing.
