THE UN “COMPLICATED” MERYL STREEP
Meryl Streep has been married since 1978, but she still knows a thing or two about older, single women. Which is why the actress was so eager to star in the romantic-comedy, It’s Complicated.
The actress stars as a divorced woman who is being courted by two men (Alec Baldwin, Steve Martin) – one of which is her ex-husband (Baldwin), who is still married to his trophy wife (Lake Bell). Hence, the title.
Streep could see how detailed Director Nancy Meyers was about the subject, which isn’t surprising considering the filmmaker is a single woman of a certain age herself.
