In PETER JACKSON’S big screen adaptation of ALICE SEBOLD’S best selling novel, THE LOVELY BONES, a murdered young girl watches the effects her demise has had on her devastated family. Not a lot of laughs to be had but what ‘comic relief’ exists is provided by SUSAN SARANDON’S portrayal of the girl’s rather blowzy grandmother. We spoke with SARANDON recently about the film and she talked about what her character meant to the film and how much she enjoyed playing her. Listen in below:
