The news of actress BRITTANY MURPHY’S untimely death comes as a shock to any and all who knew her and, while we can’t say we actually knew her, we did have the pleasure of speaking with her many times over the past years. MURPHY was always a treat and always seemed grateful to be included in any film or TV coverage. Never actually educated as an actor, she had a loose, carefree quality that served her well. During a recent interview, she talked to us about her style of acting:

MURPHY’s style was influenced by movies she grew up watching and she became a real fan of classic films and stars:

Of all the films she did for both TV and the big screen, it was kind of surprising to hear her say that the doing the voice of Gloria in GEORGE MILLER’S animated feature, HAPPY FEET, was her favorite of all time:

A few years ago, MURPHY took time out from acting to care for her ailing mother and it was during that time that she became interested in producing and the business that goes on behind the camera. The result of that was RAMEN GIRL, shot in Japan and her first run at producing a film:

Sincere condolences to BRITTANY MURPHY’s family and friends…she was someone we always enjoyed spending time with.
