George Clooney was psyched up at the chance to work with Director Jason Reitman on the movie Up in the Air.
The actor stars as Ryan Bingham, a downsizing expert who literally flies around the nation giving the axe to workers from their jobs.
Clooney was convinced the experience would be good with Reitman, who has enjoyed remarkable success in his filmmaking career with movies like Juno and Thank You For Smoking to his credits. And the actual shooting of the pic delivered everything Clooney expected and more.
What he didn’t take into consideration in choosing the project was how relevant the story is now and how much more significant it became as they got further along into the production.
