
In the TOM FORD film, A SINGLE MAN, COLIN FIRTH plays a gay college professor mourning the loss of his partner and NICHOLAS HOULT (ABOUT A BOY, SKINS) plays a student trying to bring the man out of his shell. Set in the relatively repressed early ’60s, HOULT tells us that while some things are different today, many things remain the same. We spoke with the actor recently and he talked about how being aware of the era the film is set in helped him with the job. Listen in below:
