SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE: Nigel Lythgoe (L), Mary Murphy (C) and Adam Shankman (R) judge the competition on SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE airing Tuesday, Dec. 1 (8:30-11:00 PM ET; 7:30-10:00 PM CT; 7:00-9:00 PM MT; 8:00-10:00 PM PT) on FOX. ©2009 Fox Broadcasting Co. Cr: Mathieu Young/FOX
The top eight dancers hit the dance floor on So You Think You Can Dance Tuesday. And, despite seeing spectacular performances the judges were hoping for a little extra spice as well.
How? Well if Mary Murphy and Adam Shankman had their way, SYTYCD contestants and real-life married couple Ryan and Ashleigh De Lillo would have paired up. Both judges believe that it might just be the perfect crowd pleaser for fans of the show.
It didn’t happen last night thanks to a shoulder injury that sidelined Ashleigh during rehearsals for a Bollywood number. In fact, the production wouldn’t let her risk a move until she got an MRI to determine the extent of her injury. It still could happen…depending on how America voted Tuesday night. But, even if the couple don’t make it into the final six, they may still be able to team up for the finale - Shankman tells us.

The results of Tuesday’s competition is announced tonight on So You Think You Can Dance beginning 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.

DEE, The judges threw Legacy under the Bus so that Russell can win! He is clearly The Chosen One! But I am happy for Ashleigh and Ryan’s success! They have worked so hard this Season and deserve to be in the Finale.
