PETER JACKSON’S big screen adaptation of ALICE SEBOLD’S bestselling novel, THE LOVELY BONES, is a beautifully shot, yet harrowing look at the afterlife of a murdered young girl. Not exactly the stuff of comedy but SUSAN SARANDON in the role of the girl’s grandmother (grandmother!?…when did that happen?) supplies what comic relief there is in the film. At the recent press conference for the film, SARANDON joked about her role in the film. Listen in below:
THE LOVELY BONES opens in theaters 12/11.
