On this day in 1957, WARNER BROTHERS PICTURES released SAYONARA. Directed by JOSHUA LOGAN and based on the novel by JAMES MICHENER. This is story of a bigoted American officer who must confront his own issues when he falls for a Japanese performer while stationed in Kobe.
