Bob Eubanks Becomes First Game Show Host in TV History
To Host the Same Game Show in Five Different Decades
When Special Episode Premieres January 7, 2010

(Santa Monica, Calif.) — December 4, 2009 — Iconic game show host Bob Eubanks, who first began hosting THE NEWLYWED GAME more than 40 years ago, returns as guest host of GSN’s new THE NEWLYWED GAME during a special edition that features GSN host Carnie Wilson and her family as the celebrity contestants. This special celebrity edition of THE NEWLYWED GAME will premiere January 7, 2010 at 6PM ET with an encore airing at 9PM ET.

THE NEWLYWED GAME host Carnie Wilson and her husband, Rob Bonfiglio; Wilson’s sister Wendy Wilson and her husband Dan Knutson; and Wilson’s mother, former singer Marilyn Wilson-Rutherford, and her husband, Daniel Rutherford, will appear as celebrity contestants on the episode.

When Bob Eubanks hosts this special episode of THE NEWLYWED GAME on January 7, 2010, he will become the first game show host in television history to have hosted the same game show in five different decades. Eubanks was the original host of THE NEWLYWED GAME on ABC from 1966 until 1974. The show returned in syndication with Eubanks as host from 1977 until 1980; again from 1985 through 1988; and again from 1997 through 1999. His appearance as host in 2010 will mark the fifth decade in which Eubanks has appeared at THE NEWLYWED GAME podium.
