On this day in 1985, PARAMOUNT PICTURES released YOUNG SHERLOCK HOLMES. Directed by BARRY LEVINSON from a screenplay by CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS, this action/adventure was an exercise in early CGI. When assorted people start having inexplicable delusions that lead to their deaths, a teenaged SHERLOCK HOLMES steps in to investigate. Very slick production and a great cast that includes NICHOLAS ROWE, ALAN COX, ANTHONY HIGGINS, SUSAN FLEETWOOD and ROGER ASHTON-GRIFFITHS.
