
On this day in 1932, Bing Crosby and Bob Hope appear together for the first time onstage in a show at the Paramount Theater, where The Mask of Fu Manchu opens. The duo would become two of Hollywood’s best-paid actors thanks to their comic rapport. Hope ranked among Hollywood’s Top 10 moneymaking stars, with Crosby not far behind. But while Hope may have raked in slightly more cash, it was Crosby who usually got the girl, at least in the seven Road movies.
