On this day in 1968, PARAMOUNT PICTURES released SKIDOO. Directed by the legendary OTTO PRMINGER, this ”groovy comedy” was marketed as a hip, psychedelic romp but was much more a total mess (albeit a delightful total mess). The film starred JACKIE GLEASON, MICKEY ROONEY, CAROL CHANNING, FRANKIE AVALON, GROUCHO MARX and featured music (and sung end credits) by HARRY NILSSON. A long time resident of our ‘BAD MOVIES WE LOVE’ shelf, SKIDOO is a movie that has to be seen to be believed.
