It’s good to be Beyonce. The singer leads the list of musicians with 10 - count them - 10 GRAMMY nominations. Taylor Swift trails Beyonce slightly…raking up eight GRAMMY nods this year, proving she’s every bit the talented singer/songwriter country fans already know her to be. It was just this past September that Swift was the Best Female Video winner at MTV’s Video Music Aawards and had her acceptance speech rudely interrupted by Kanye West, who declared that Beyonce should have won.

Well, take that Kanye West! Not only did he get two less noms than Swift, but West tied with The Black Eyed Peas - six nods each. Still a respectable number, but will it be enough for West? If not, let’s hope he gets over his mad quickly – before the actual GRAMMY Awards ceremony.

David Guetta, Jay Z and Lady Gaga received five noms a piece and veteran rocker, Bruce Springsteen along with country music superstar, Keith Urban as well as Colbie Caillat, Michael Giacchino, Kings of Leon, John Newton, RedOne and T-Pain got four a piece.

This is the second year in a row that the Recording Academy announced the nominations during primetime television as part of The GRAMMY Nominations Concert Live! – Countdown to Music’s Biggest Night. The one-hour special was broadcast live on CBS from Club Nokia in Los Angeles.

The GRAMMYS are awarded Sunday, January 31st, 2010 and broadcast live on CBS from the Staples Center.
