On this day in 1961, PARAMOUNT PICTURES released THE ERRAND BOY. Directed by JERRY LEWIS from his own script, this daring exercise in filmmaking was instrumental in establishing his reputation as an important director (and kind of a jerk). Along with THE BELLBOY, this remains an interesting piece.
