NATALIE PORTMAN was in Manhattan last week to meet the press for her upcoming film BROTHERS and managed to talk a bit about just signing on to play Jane Foster (nurse to Donald Blake) in KENNETH BRANAGH’s big screen adaptation of Marvel Comics’ THOR. Marvel tells us the Jane character will be ‘updated’ but Portman told us the whole project is shrouded in secrecy and even her phone calls are coded. Listen in below:

Did anyone see “Brothers” this past weekend? I was pretty impressed with Natalie’s performance–she was effective yet didn’t distract from the overall movie. Really good role for her.

I just saw it and agree, it’s one of her best roles yet. She really shows her strong but subtle side in this. It’s really impressive.
