On this day in 1950, M-G-M released KING SOLOMON’S MINES. Directed by COMPTON BENNETT and ANDREW MARTON, this telling of the ALLAN QUARTERMAIN action/adventure/romance was a spectacular epic for it’s time. The perfect cast included STUART GRANGER, DEBORAH KERR, RICHARD CARLSON and HUGO HAAS. Every bit as exciting now as it was back in the day.
