On this day in 1957, AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL PICTURES released I WAS A TEENAGE FRANKENSTEIN. Directed by HERBERT L. STROCK, the film was an answer to the popular MICHAEL LANDON film I WAS A TEENAGE WEREWOLF. While not as memorable (or successful) as it’s WEREWOLF counterpart, it is much more unintentionally funny. Heading the cast are WHIT BISSELL and PHYLLIS COATES.
