On this day in 1962, UNITED ARTISTS released the big-screen adaptation of the hit Broadway show TWO FOR THE SEESAW. Directed for the screen by ROBERT WISE from the play by WILLIAM GIBSON, this story of a middle-aged bachelor on the rebound who meets a ‘dancer’ in 60’s Manhattan was gritty and edgy for it’s time. Not so much now, but the lead cast of ROBERT MITCHUM and SHIRLEY MacLAINE make it worth checking out.
