On this day in 1964, COLUMBIA PICTURES released FIRST MEN IN THE MOON. Directed by NATHAN JURAN and based on a story by H.G. WELLS about the Earth’s first team of astronauts discovering they aren’t the first after all. All in all, a fun story with a cast that includes EDWARD JUDD, MARTHA HYER, LIONEL JEFFERIES, NORMAN BIRD and BETTY McDOWELL.
