On this day in 1993, WALT DISNEY PICTURES released ALADDIN. Directed by RON CLEMENTS and JOHN MUSKER, this 2-D animated version of the classic Arabian fairy tale told the story of a street urchin’s love for a princess and the genie who brings them together. SCOTT WEINER and LINDA LARKIN were pretty brilliant as the kids but it was ROBIN WILLIAMS’ performance as the genie that knocked this movie out of the park. Great songs, great story….a true Disney classic.
