Academy Award-winning actress, Halle Berry is about to receive the Sherry Lansing Leadership Award (named after the first woman to head up a major studio).

The presentation takes at the Beverly Hills Hotel next month during the Hollywood Reporter’s Power 100: Women in Entertainment Breakfast.  Fellow Oscar-winner, Hilary Swank and Desperate Housewives star, Eva Longoria Parker will also be on hand.

Previous recipients include:  Barbara Walters, Meryl Streep, Jodie Foster and Glenn Close.

This is the 18th consecutive year that the Hollywood Reporter has honored the women who have made inroads in the entertainment business, which was once male dominated.  The industry mag’s Power 100: Women in Entertainment special issue, which highlights the top 100 women in the motion picture and television industries, will be distributed on the same day as the power breakfast, December 4th, 2009.
