On this day in 1968, the abysmall cult movie HEAD was released to mostly no acclaim at all. Starring THE MONKEES, this was a last ditch attempt for the TV popsters to gain some credibility after the demise of their television series. Strangely enough, the passage of time (and the involvement of screenwriter JACK NICHOLSON) has made HEAD a cult fave and people now talk about it fondly.
