On this day in 1965, A.I.P. released DR. GOLDFOOT AND THE BIKINI MACHINE. Directed by NORMAN TAUROG, this comedy/sci-fi film was an off-shoot of the popular BEACH PARTY movies. In a plot that sounds a bit like Bravo’s REAL HOUSEWIVES reality series, DR. GOLDFOOT invents an army of bikini-clad robots who are programmed to seek out wealthy men and charm them out of their assets. The titular VINCENT PRICE is backed up by FRANKIE AVALON, DWAYNE HICKMAN and SUSAN HART.
