It did come as a surprise to Nicolas Cage when screenwriter, David Goyer confirmed that a sequel to Ghost Rider was in the works.  But, just because he was caught off guard doesn’t mean he isn’t anxious climb back on his chopper.

Cage sees the sequel as a great way to expand on Johnny Blaze/Ghost Rider; his character the movie.  And, as an avid comic book fan, Cage has a couple of ideas he’s already bouncing around in his mind for the new installment.

Ghost Rider 2 is currently set for 2011.
