Tap dancers Phillip Attmore and Bianca Revels were shown the door Tuesday night on So You Think You Can Dance.  It was an elimination that was especially tough on Executive Producer Nigel Lythgoe, who is a tapper himself.

Unfortunately, Lythgoe was outnumbered by judges Adam Shankman and Mary Murphy, who didn’t believe the tappers could hack it through to the finale.

Still, Shankman does admit that Attmore and his partner Channing Cooke got a raw deal when they drew ballroom as their performance style two weeks in a row.  And Shankman had no problem saying so.
