Sandra Bullock erupted onto the scene with the action flick, Speed, but she’s been on top ever since with a string of hit movies, including her summer hit, The Proposal.
Her current film, The Blind Side is based on a true story about, Baltimore Ravens football pro, Michael Oher, who went from a poor, undereducated teen to being recruited by a major college football program, against the odds.
The Blind Side isn’t one of the lighthearted comedies that the actress is associated with, but it’s also not the first time she’s veered in that direction (Hope Floats, Premonition, The Lake House). It’s just that the dramas haven’t gotten her the mass audience she gets from those wacky romantic comedies.
To be fair, however, Bullock says she knows why The Proposal was such a hit with her fans - and it had little to do with her acting abilities.
