So You Think You Can Dance Executive Producer Nigel Lythgoe and Dance judge Adam Shankman are co-Producing the Carrie Underwood: An All-Star Holiday Special, with Lythgoe taking on the directing duties.
According to Lythgoe, Underwood will poke a bit of fun at her rise from American Idol season four winner to the top of Country Music. And while both men agree that Underwood is a genuine superstar now (hardly surprising), they were shocked by what terrific comedy timing the Country Music star has.

Carrie Underwood: An All-Star Holiday Special airs December 7th, on Fox. Guest stars include Dolly Parton, Brad Paisley and season seven American Idol winner, David Cook.
