During our recent interview with famed director JOHN WOO for his upcoming film RED CLIFF, he let fly with the news that his next film will be a World War II epic about the famous Flying Tigers, a band of American mercenaries called upon by China to fight the Japanese two years before the attack on Pearl Harbor. Probably the most famous film about this piece of American history was 1942’s THE FLYING TIGERS starring JOHN WAYNE but we’re betting that WOO’s film will be a bit different from that one.
