On this day in 1956, M-G-M released THE OPPOSITE SEX. Directed by DAVID MILLER, this was a musical remake of the 1939 classic, THE WOMEN. And, while not nearly as enjoyable as the original, it is noteable for its amazing cast that included JUNE ALLYSON, JOAN COLLINS, DOLORES GRAY, ANN SHERIDAN, ANN MILLER, LESLIE NEILSEN, AGNES MOOREHEAD, CHARLOTTE GREENWOOD and JOAN BLONDELL.
