On this day in 1968, 20TH CENTURY FOX released the musical epic STAR!. Directed by ROBERT WISE and telling the life story of legendary actress GERTRUDE LAWRENCE, this gigantic musical epic was a tremendous flop. Not even the talents of JULIE ANDREWS, RICHARD CRENNA, ROBERT REED and DANIEL MASSEY (doing his signature NOEL COWARD) could save this mess. That said, it’s one of our all-time favorite ‘bad movies we love’.
