On this day in 1964, WARNER BROTHERS PICTURES released MY FAIR LADY. Directed by the legendary GEORGE CUKOR from smash Broadway musical, this story of a misogynistic professor of language and his flower-girl subject is a classic battle-of-the-sexes. REX HARRISON and AUDREY HEPBURN produced the illusion of great chemistry despite his disapproval of her casting (not unlike his behavior towards JULIE ANDREWS during the production of the play). A classic big screen musical.
