Variety is reporting that HAIRSPRAY director ADAM SHANKMAN has set his sights on the hit Broadway show ROCK OF AGES as his next film project. The show, featuring familiar tunes from several 80’s hair bands, was nominated for several Tonys (including one for former AMERICAN IDOL contestant CONSTANTINE MAROULIS).
