William Castle Film Collection

Special Features:  Every one of the eight discs is special.  Check out the list:

13 Frightened Girls are students in a Swiss boarding school.  One discovers a major political secret and passes the info onto a CIA agent (look for seductive teens on a mission). 13 Ghosts Remember those 3-D glasses that let you see the oh so scary ghosts?  Great premise, stupid execution, but nostalgic nonetheless. Homicidal was Castle’s answer to Alfred Hitchcock’s masterpiece Psycho. Nowhere near as suspenseful as Hitch’s thriller, but not as lame as the Ed Wood gender-bender, Glen or Glenda.  However, it is Castle’s best serious movie. Strait-Jacket stars a crazy, ax-wielding Joan Crawford (pre coat-hangers), released from an asylum and back for blood. The Old Dark House (Not to be confused with Frankenstein filmmaker, James Whale’s classic flick of the same name) stars Tom Poston as an American car salesman in England, who receives a mysterious invitation from an elderly millionaire. Mr. Sardonicus is a man whose face freezes - mucho ugly - after searching for a winning lottery ticket in his father’s grave. Tsk, tsk. The Tingler was Castle’s gimmicky horror pic with a tagline that boasted of an experience In Screamarama.  The flick stars, competent actor, turned compulsive camp, horror icon, Vincent Price. Zotz! is a coin with awesome powers.  The professor that finds it plans to make the coin available to the U.S. government (do we need that coin now, or what?). For film buffs, Castle was one of the first filmmakers to interview viewers on camera for reactions to his movies.
