On this day in 1980, UNITED ARTISTS released a surprisingly good ‘guilty pleasure’ called MOTEL HELL. A horror/slasher film about a farmer who plants and harvests unsuspecting tourists, was graphic in it’s gore and droll in it’s humor. A great starring performance by RORY CALHOUN with support from NANCY PARSONS, PAUL LINKE, NINA AXELROD, ELAINE JOYCE and WOLFMAN JACK. Keep an eye out for a very young JOHN RATZENBERGER. Good fun!
