On this day in 1969, PARAMOUNT PICTURES released PAINT YOUR WAGON. Directed by JOSHUA LOGAN from the LERNER & LOWE musical (with an adaptation by PADDY CHAYEFSKY), this epic musical is kind of a mess. Hiring CLINT EASTWOOD, LEE MARVIN and JEAN SEBERG for a Western sounds like a good idea….having them sing, however, not such a good idea. Interesting to curiosity seekers.
