On this day in 1959, 20TH CENTURY FOX released the glossy soap opera THE BEST OF EVERYTHING. Directed by the incomparable JEAN NEGULESCO, this story of Madison Avenue working girls in the 50’s is every bit as compelling as the current TV hit, MAD MEN. Heading the cast are: JOAN CRAWFORD, HOPE LANGE, STEPHEN BOYD, SUZY PARKER, MARTHA HYER, DIANE BAKER and ROBERT EVANS. Great cheezy fun with a theme song that was the hit of the day.
