On this day in 1964, COLUMBIA PICTURES released FAIL SAFE. Directed by SIDNEY LUMET from a script by WALTER BERNSTEIN, this movie built on the cold war fear of the period. The cast included WALTER MATTHAU, HENRY FONDA, DAN O’HERLIHY and FRITZ WEAVER. Paranoia theater at it’s absolute best.
