On this day in 1983, UNIVERSAL PICTURES released arguably one of the worst movies ever made with THE LONELY LADY. Directed by PETER SASDY from a pretty dreadful novel by HAROLD ROBBINS, this story of a woman clawing her way to the top of the Hollywood heap contains some scenes so delightfully, laughably bad they have to be seen to be believed. Star PIA ZADORA cemented her place as a punch-line with this one.
