Jason Bateman has been steadily working as an actor/director since 1982 and, at the age of 40, he’s learned plenty about how to keep his career on track.

First - take nothing for granted.  Second - don’t trip yourself up.  And third - know who your working with…even if it’s only by their accomplishments.

That’s exactly why he decided to jump into his latest movie, Couples Retreat.  The movie co-stars and was co-written by Vince Vaughn and Jon Favreau, who have a history of solid projects from Swingers to Iron Man.  It’s system that’s been successful for Bateman and one that he plans to continue using.

Couples Retreat is schedule for an October 9th, 2009 release.
