Going from football to acting wasn’t an easy transition for Michael Strahan, but it was certainly kinder to his body.  After years of bumps and bruises, showing up on the set of his new series Brothers was like a vacation for the former football great.

And Strahan can relate to the storyline.  In Brothers he stars as a former NFL player who moves back into his parents home in Houston and realizes quickly that his sibling rivalry with his brother is as strong as ever.

Series TV had to happen for Strahan; he was bit hard by the acting bug.  But that doesn’t mean he’s given up his first love.  Strahan just follows the sport more like an armchair quarterback now.

Brothers airs Friday nights, 8:00 p.m. on Fox.
