It was a good day for Eliza Dushku when she found out her series, Dollhouse, was getting a second chance to grab an audience.
Though the show was applauded by sci-fi fans, it struggled in the ratings. Still Fox must have seen promise in Dollhouse because after much speculation that the series would be axed, the network gave it a surprise opportunity to make good.
The actress had just returned from an overseas journey when she got that text message of a lifetime from series creator, Joss Whedon.
But she wasn’t alone while celebrating that day. Dushku’s mother and a group of her mom’s students were getting the info fresh from the source and began doing a bit of high-fiving themselves.
