ABC’S “DANCING WITH THE STARS” WELCOMES WORLD FAMOUS
AUSTRALIAN DIRECTOR BAZ LUHRMANN AS GUEST JUDGE ON
MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 28 AND TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 29
“Dancing with the Stars” welcomes Baz Luhrmann to the ballroom as a guest judge during Week 2 of the competition, MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 28 (8:00-10:02 p.m., ET) and TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 29 (9:00-10:00 p.m.) on the ABC Television Network. Luhrmann joins dancer/choreographers Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba at the judges’ table while head judge Len Goodman takes a week off from the competition.
Baz Luhrmann is a Golden Globe and Academy Award-nominated Australian film director, screenwriter and producer best known for his “Red Curtain Trilogy,” comprising the films “Strictly Ballroom,” “William Shakespeare’s Romeo + Juliet” and “Moulin Rouge!” In 2008 he completed the outback epic “Australia,” starring Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman. His work as a writer and director extends beyond film to opera, the stage, as a music producer, including the hit single “Everybody’s Free (to wear Sunscreen).” Luhrmann also devised, produced and directed the influential 2004 campaign to re-launch Chanel No. 5 with Nicole Kidman and the “Go Walkabout” campaign for Tourism Australia in 2008.
