Chef Gordon Ramsay went more than a little nuts in Hell’s Kitchen Tuesday…even for him.

Ramsay smashed undercooked halibut with his palm, food was flying - oh yeah, he was angry.  At the end of the night, Van was sent packing, but not before the chef’s tantrum left him covered in fish.

Van admits he wasn’t at his best, but he also knows that fellow contestant, Tennille, tossed him under the bus.  So, why was she crying after offering him up for sacrifice?  According to Van, they were actually friends and she even warned him that the rest of the cooks were gunning for him. Then Tennille politely crushed him herself and cried because she probably felt guilty for it.

Still, Van’s OK and says he has only himself to blame.
