On this day in 1938, 20th CENTURY FOX released LITTLE MISS BROADWAY. SHIRLEY TEMPLE stars as an orphan (natch) who gets adopted by the manager of a hotel for show-biz folk. Not much substance but loads of song and dance routines featuring a supporting cast that includes GEORGE MURPHY, JIMMY DURANTE, EDNA MAE OLIVER, JANE DARWELL, PHYLLIS BROOKS and DONALD MEEK. One of SHIRLEY’s best.
