On this day in 1956, WARNER BROTHERS PICTURES released THE BAD SEED. Directed by MERVYN LeROY from the play by MAXWELL ANDERSON, this campy bit of business is shot very theatrically and hasn’t aged all that well. That said, it’s still very enjoyable for the performances by PATTY McCORMACK, NANCY KELLY, HENRY JONES and EILEEN HECKART.
