On this day in 1971, EVEL KNIEVEL was released to theaters. A biopic of the daredevil stuntman of the era, the surprise wasn’t that there was a movie about him but who was connected with that movie. Directed by MARVIN J. CHOMPSKY, the unlikely cast included GEORGE HAMILTON, SUE LYON, BERT FREED and DUB TAYLOR. Basically a comedy/satire the film is a whole lot better than one might imagine.
