On this day in 1969, WARNER BROTHERS/7 ARTS released THE VALLEY OF GWANGI. Directed by JIM O’CONNOLLY, this SCI-FI/WESTERN thriller was, for a long time, the only title in it’s genre. Heading the cast are JAMES FRANCISCUS, GILA GOLAN, RICHARD CARLSON, LAURENCE NAISMITH and FREDA JACKSON. Considered a classic (of sorts) by sci-fi fans.
