After performing a dance routine from HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL only to be told by judge PIERS MORGAN that he wasn’t ready for the finals, young AMERICA’S GOT TALENT contestant ARCADIAN BROAD tells the world that he didn’t want to do the number but was assigned it by producers. Needless to say, he was hushed up pretty quick.
UPDATE: Well, giving credence to thoughts that the fix is in, not only can we not find a clip of ARCADIAN’S comments regarding the show’s producers assigning him his routine, but the segment was chopped from Wednesday nights replay.
UPDATE #2: ARCADIAN got the boot in favor of THE TEXAS TENORS. Words fail.
UPDATE #3: We’re reposting this story along with the clip that aired in the original live broadcast and was cut out of last nights re-broadcast. It does seem that the kid got a raw deal.

Arcadian Broad is a great male dancer. I hope he made into four finalist. I want him the next American Got Talent season 4 (2009).

In the live show on Tuesday, when Arcadian spilled the beans, it was obvious that Nick was being told by the producers through his IFB to do “damage control”. He did so by stating that the acts “have the final say”.
Then I tuned in on the Wednesday rerun just to see if the statement by Arcadia would be edited out. Yep! For me, that says a lot about this show.
I was a loyal follower until this hogwash. The damage control by the producers just showed it was indeed rigged.
Poor Kid. I thought he was very good…a heck of a lot better than the three “tone deaf” tenners.

I hope Arcadian reads this. I from Texas and when we watched the results live, we all felt that this was a GREAT injustice! That boy can dance!! And whats really disturbing is producers being able to pick what they felt was best even though Arcadian didn’t want to do it. This is about him and his talent, not the producers!..I’m so proud of him for saying the truth so people know the real story! As far as I’m concerned, the producers could of felt that the musicle they picked would end Arcadian’s time on the show. Even I could tell they didnt have the right lighting and enough props! But ya know what? His “your” performance was KICK ***!!.. I think the producers should be held accountable and Arcadian brought back. The producers not only know what they did was wrong, they are confirming it by cutting out what Arcadian was trying to explain to the judges on their replays, Trying to be hush hush… Don’t worry Arcadian, AMERICA knows…. You just keep dancing, don’t ever give up, and hard lesson learned, always stand your ground! You make them work for you!.. If justice isn’t given this time, I want to see you back next year!

What was worse? The routine or having a multi-discipline artist with a partner when he is a soloist? When Piers did his lame critic on Arcadian’s piano performance, he set him up to be pressured by the even lamer producers trying to forgo creativity and use a commercially successful formula in HS Musical. If they were going to recommend, they should have used a Broadway musical like Billy Elliot or a “Singing in the Rain” or “Flying Down to Rio” type routine; which would have taken him to the next level, stayed in a contemporary dance/musical genre and allowed him to break out. Whether he would have made it through or not is not the question. He would have been judged on the merit of HIS performance. At that, his performance was superior to many; including the Texas Tenors who missed some harmonies and were out of sync in their performance, Crying Kevin who was flat at times and pitchy, and even Grandma Lee who was so nervous she miss fired on the timing of MOST of her jokes.

The producers should be ashamed of what they did to Arcadian Broad. They knew full well of his talent, and still assigned him to do High School Musical routine, knowing that would get him eliminated. Then when he outs the producers for doing so, they quickly hush him and tell Nick Cannon to do “damage control”, by saying all the the performers have a ‘final say’ in what they do. That is b.s. AGT used to be my favorite show. I will never again watch another episode, and I know I am not alone on that. Arcadian Broad has more talent on one finger than the tone-deaf texas tenors have all together. You should feel ashamed, producers. We now know that AGT joins American Idol in the list of rigged shows. Shame on you. If you want to keep your ratings, I highly suggest that you bring Arcadian back asap. Otherwise your show will never recover from this.

[...] Enjoy your new life I suppose, Kevin. Here’s hoping Season 5 gets talent, though I highly doubt it will happen with the producers running the show. [...]
